We expertly managed the complex process of exporting and cleansing data during the migration of subscriptions from WordPress/WooCommerce to Shopify.

Using the Import Export Suite WooCommerce plugin, we ensured a seamless transition by addressing known CSV export issues that could cause order discrepancies. Our thorough data cleansing organised spreadsheet columns to fit the Appstle subscription app's template and matched each line item to its Shopify record, preventing billing errors and ensuring a smooth transition for both the business and its customers.

Old Site Backup, Safeguarding, and Domain Transfer

We prioritised safeguarding the legacy systems by performing a final backup of the original WordPress site and creating a staging environment with GoDaddy to ensure a smooth transfer without disrupting live operations.

After securing the backup, we deactivated all recurring subscriptions on WordPress to prevent double charging. We then initiated the domain transfer, updated DNS settings to point to the new Shopify store, and verified that everything was live and functioning as expected.

Post-Migration Monitoring and Launch Announcement‍

Even after the migration, our job wasn’t done. We continuously monitored the new site for any issues such as 404 errors, ensuring that 301 redirects were properly set up.
